Random Thoughts at Christmas
Well another Christmas is finally here And no I haven’t been drinkin’ Though it has been a challenging year I’ve been doin’ a lot of thinkin’.
So I decided to put down some thoughts That I wanted to pass along Before too much time passed And all of the ideas were gone.
At different times during the day And even sometimes even at night I find myself reflecting on random things we’ve had to say. For it’s the best way for us to connect when we’re out of sight.
So here goes….
When it comes time to dine Mushrooms and fish aren’t on the list But fire up the grill for a tri-tip
And you might get kissed.
When it comes to work There are not enough hours in the day A simple glass of wine though
Helps the hours slip away.
Weekends are saved for grocery shopping
And many a household task But you’ll never find her at Costco Without wearing her mask.
The new ride of choice is a
Big black Hummer. Fun to drive cuz you sit up high Until you fill ‘er up..that’s a Bummer.
Sarah loves to search the web. Not so much to look for breaking news But more likely for
jewelry clothes and shoes.
After a stressful day you may find her Relaxing in the hot tub. To make sure those troubles are gone for sure
Don’t forget to add a back rub.
Dogs cats and even chickens are the household pets. That’s a lot to take care of but there are no regrets. Luna is always in the office by her side Ready and willing to hop in the Hummer for a ride.
Always connected to her phone even after dark She even has a watch that tells her when she is getting a Slack from Marc. One computer monitor is not enough to earn her pay
She needs two to get her through the day.
- Emails Slacks and tickets of support that’s just great!
- But who wants Virtual meetings and calls before Eight?
Being yelled at by pissed off affiliates is part of the grief
But they really don’t mean it and those feelings are brief.
With more classes to plan and reports to write
It’s no wonder the job takes her well into the night.
But not to worry it will all get done
That’s why for this job she is the only one!
We’ve mourned for our friends
Whose loved ones are gone.
But life is for the living
and theirs too will go on.
Cherish each day if you want your time on earth to be pleasant.
Life is a wonderful gift that is why it’s called the present.
For now I’ll dispense with the words I might like to say
And leave those for yet another day.
Planning one’s life too far in the future I’ve learned is over-rated
So I’ll finish this little message by saying …..IT’S COMPLICATED!
